Tehran is ready to restart atomic negotiations with Washington provided that it is handled with "dignity" and "honor", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

Abbas Araghchi said exclusively dialogue worked, and disclosed new appeals had been made by go-betweens to restart discussions with the US government. He said Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Iran could not yet permit the global atomic watchdog to inspect attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Course

The foreign minister is treading a complex route since Iran wishes not to be seen to be proceeding from a position of weakness, and he emphatically stated that Iran had emerged more powerful militarily and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a security conference in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel on home soil that it will never give up" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Earlier Talks Suddenly Terminated

The prior phases of negotiations between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious end on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the American leader asserting the facilities had been destroyed. Following this, European countries used their authority to reinstate international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a substantial consequence.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Iranian officials stated they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since domestic enrichment would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Officials asserted repeatedly they had achieved a deal with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the deal to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Status

Iranian officials said the partnership proposal was now off the table, but it seems very probable the offer could be reintroduced in various formats if negotiations resume.

Trump recently stated he had been obtaining communications that Iran sought to resume discussions, but in private Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from America either explicitly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. Political Position

In his remarks to the conference, intended to portray the US as a dominant force that misuses the concept of worldwide standards, Araghchi stated the fortnight-long engagement revealed the dispute could not be resolved by military means. He stated the strikes commenced with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with complete American awareness and coordination, making faith hard to restore.

Diplomacy Continues the Final Solution

Araghchi said: "It was not Iran that had deserted diplomacy; it was America and the Western nations that had consistently attempted to impose their desires during the negotiations. Diplomacy can still be alive and stays the final resolution to resolve disagreements, but its standards, rules and principles must be adhered to."

"In case they address to the citizens of Tehran with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a response in the identical language."

Recovery and Reconstruction

In what is described by Iran's diplomats as the struggle of repair and recovery, the foreign minister stated he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been reestablished. We learned numerous insights from this war; we have come to know our own weaknesses and the weaknesses of the adversary."

He stated: "We effectively endured this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they planned to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and machinery, if eliminated, will be restored; what is essential is the resolve of the citizens of Tehran and then the unity of the country that they aimed at, but were unable to break. The nation of Iran have grown stronger, more cohesive, and more supportive of the leadership and the country in the face of this invasion."
